The beginning of November was reserved for Sample Solutions’ team building events in Ohrid, a city known for its natural beauty, cultural treasures and long and rich history.
Three different events were organised for the Data, Web and Sales Teams. Even though our accommodation was in three different spots in Ohrid, we all had the same schedule and purpose; to have productive sessions on a team level and spend some great time enjoying different team building activities.
The Sales Team’s session was focused on the achievements of the past three quarters and the lessons learned from the biggest projects we’ve won this year. The obstacles we’ve faced not only as a team but also individually were uncovered and discussed at team level. Each member of the team shared thoughtful insights of the industry in the markets for which they are responsible. We highlighted the pain points that we had with different clients, the lessons that we have learned and the goals we would like to achieve in 2020. Discussions regarding client’s feedback on our performance this year also took place regarding their use of SurveyPlatform and their observations and comments from satisfaction survey results.
The Data Team presentations and discussions were mainly oriented towards the current status of the RDD, B2C and B2B databases and their enrichment. Team members had a chance to evaluate what has been done so far and what needs to be achieved going forward. The most interesting topics which everyone had an opinion to share and something valuable to add were regarding SurveyPlatform, and as a result, the team came up with conclusions on how to boost the proactivity of the team and how to overcome obstacles with teamwork.
The Development Team replaced the presentations with a different and more creative way of knowledge sharing among the team members. This concentrated on having a chance to better understand the challenges the other team members were facing and the solutions that they could, as a team provide for them. The team discussed the different kinds of technical issues they had while working on SurveyPlatform over the past eleven months, what solutions they’ve managed to implement and the final results.
Aside from the technical discussions and knowledge sharing part, every team had their own “free time” bonding activities. Having meals together, sightseeing in lovely Ohrid, chatting about interesting themes and hobbies and having fun in the evenings formed part of the many other unique moments that we brought home from this weekend.
The well-deserved weekend away gave us the energy to end this year with hopefully, flying colors.
Every team building event motivates people to work together, to increase trust and collaboration and improve communication between colleagues.
If these are the goals and benefits for every team building event, we can tell with certainty that we are on the right path to continue being the best colleagues that anyone can have.
Cheers to new goals!
