Can you describe your role at Sample Solutions and what your day-to-day tasks look like?
I can’t describe it precisely, haha. I work with databases, handle some DevOps tasks, and focus on Python backend development. My day-to-day tasks can vary a lot, but it mostly involves managing data, automating processes, and writing code to support backend systems. Every day brings new challenges, so itâs always interesting and keeps me on my toes!
What do you enjoy most about working in database management, DevOps, and Python development?
I enjoy the diversity and constant learning in database management, DevOps, and Python development. Each area offers unique challenges, but they’re all interconnected, requiring similar problem-solving skills. The daily challenges keep things fresh, and the variety ensures that no two days are the same, making it exciting and rewarding to work across these fields.
Whatâs one project youâve worked on that youâre particularly proud of?
I’m particularly proud of the ‚Sample Management System‘ Iâve been working on. I started it from the very beginning, and itâs been great to see it progress and come together as it should. Watching it evolve into a fully functional system that can help many departments internally and future clients as well has been really rewarding.
Whatâs a tech tool, framework, or language you couldnât live without?
I use Python for almost everything I can. From automating repetitive tasks to developing backend systems and working with data, Pythonâs versatility makes it my go-to language. Its extensive libraries and frameworks save me time and effort, making it an essential tool in my daily workflow. I honestly canât imagine working without it!
If you could automate one part of daily life like you do in DevOps, what would it be?
Iâm the type of person who strives for maximum efficiency with minimal effort, so I try to automate as much as I can. If I could automate one part of daily life, it would probably be meal prep. Automating grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning would save so much time and energy, allowing me to focus on more important tasks while still eating healthy and staying organized.
If you werenât in tech, what do you think youâd be doing?
I really enjoy traveling, so if I werenât in tech, I think travel vlogging would be an interesting path. Exploring new places, capturing the experience, and sharing it with others sounds like a fun way to combine my love for adventure with creativity. Plus, it would be a great excuse to travel more!
Whatâs a fun fact about you that most of your colleagues donât know?
I used to ride my bike a lot during my high school days. One of my favorite trips was from Bitola to LjubaniĆĄta over GaliÄica Mountain, then from LjubaniĆĄta via Ohrid back to Bitola. I also took a ride from Gevgelija to Thessaloniki, cycling on paved roads, local roads, and even highways. Those long rides were the perfect way to challenge myself and enjoy the freedom of the open road.
