Last week in Berlin more than 350 attendees from the market research industry gathered at the BVM kongress 2017 in Berlin, Germany. With temperatures way above 30 degrees Celsius, the ABION Hotel am Spreebogen right next to the Spree river provided a great location for the congress.
Key focus of the congress was the digitization which affects market research in all its facets. It provided interesting insights on new research approaches with regard to the brands, brand reputation, brand perception and brand images but also brand communication, predictive models and preferences for brands together with an outlook on the future of digital marketing.
Self-speaking like any current market research congress, the topic of millennials and multi-channel data collection were discussed. Buzzwords like “BigData” were of course included in various case studies as well – would have loved to see more insights on how “BigData” was actually used – maybe next year.
The evening program at the PURO Sky Lounge then provided plenty of networking opportunities and live entertainment (music taste is rather subjective so no need for comments). Though mainly German speaking, plenty of international colleagues from the market research industry attended as well – always a great opportunity to practice your German.
Don’t hesitate to check out all the other Market Research events that are on our radar this year!
Bis zum nächsten Jahr!
